Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Sunday Sayings

"You have to love a nation that celebrates it's independence day every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the white house in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." Erma Bombeck

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Hi Mimi Sue....Boy have I been on vacation too long...I had to goback three pages and read all your past posts...it's been that long...the Boss is sitting next to me on the couch and his ears perked up when I showed him the pictures of that fabulous little airplane you found at a yard sale...He wants to know what you paid for it and asked if it's original or a reproduction?....I also loved your wool picture you did and being a lover of all things American flags I love the little door decoration you made...where did you find the center picture...is it an old postcard??

I love Erma Bombeck and her realistic wisdom!
We spend our time going to the Kaysville fireworks and eating at my sister's house in Fruit Heights.
Hope you had a fun time, too.

(gorgeous...sheeesh!) and your quote. It is remarkable to live in such a country, isnt't it?!
