Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Holiday Home Tour

Last night we had our neighborhood Christmas home tour.

We met at our church building for some appetizers and a
nice little lesson on making our Christmas more meaningful.

I was in charge of the refreshments and the serving table decorations.

So I made these little flags out of scrapbook paper and stuck them in
a pot from the dollar spot at Target.

I made a table runner out of aqua and red Christmas fabric.

It was simple, not very expensive, and I think it turned out pretty cute.

I took my camera with me.

But I didn't take one single picture.

So here they are waiting to go to the party.

I didn't take any pictures of the home tour either.

Sad,  but true.

I love these little flags. You are always so talented. I am not crafty so I envy everyone else's projects.

I love the aqua/red color combo. You'll have to share a photo of your table runner :)

We used to do "Christmas Around the Ward" and we'd go to other homes to have food and learn about their traditions and see their decorations. Your flags are very cute. At least you took pictures of them!
