Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. The Last of the Zinnias

There's snow on the mountains and close to freezing temperatures at night
which means the zinnias are done for the year.

Yesterday I picked all that I could and brought
them into the house where we can enjoy their cheerful colors.

At least for a few more days.

I'm sad to see the zinnias go, too! None left here with hard frosts already...and today I was lamenting the unopened flower heads in the garden. It will have to be next year now!

Oh .. they are so pretty.
We have a skiff of snow on the mountians.... and I know winter is on the way.

Enjoy those last summer flowers :)

p.s
Yes.. I used the good ol' hot glue gun to glue the apple wood stems onto the pumpkins. Works like a charm.
