Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Thanks for the inspiration. How true that is. Sometimes I just ponder how fortunate I am for having been born in this priceless America. Thanks for the reminder.

I just read your comment over at my place. You are very fortunate that your City place is set up like that. My brother and his family lived in Boston for a few years and their city dump had a special area called "Put and Take".
Even though they were fairly well off, he found some amazing things that he refurbished for them or their married children. : ) Great concept! Oh yeah...thanks for the flattering compliment the other day. I had my married daughter when I was 23. : ) Hee-hee

So true, but it is so hard to just let your children have this treasure without trying to take it back sometimes! The older I get the more I know I have no control, just choice. Love the birdie.

Oh Mimi Sue! Don't even get me started on rodeos! Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I just typed in that saying "Don't Breed or Buy While Homeless Pets Die". I got that saying from the bumper sticker I have on my car. At www.theanimalrescuesite.com you set it up on your site and link people to it. Look on the left hand side under Free Ways to Help and then Link to Us and it tell you how to do it. My husband has to help do stuff like that because I don't know how. I would love it if you put some animal stuff on your blog. I need to add some more things to mine. It's great to know there are other animal lovers out there!
