Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. I've been glued to the TV today too. It has been such a historic day for America!

What an amazing day. I have hope in this great nation of ours. I hope we all feel like we should be a little better and do a little more.

great picture....I ironed today too while watching...but I have to put in my two cents and say I hated Michelle's outfit...who wears a coat with no buttons when it's freezing out. And her ballgown is not much better...what's with all the pom-poms??

Hi Mimi Sue,
I so meant to tell you that I had shared your adorable Christmas banner on my post today, but I fell into a coma after posting, and then hit the floor running this morning.
Anyway, thanks so much for sharing this great inspiration with us. And I will be waiting patiently until you post your LOVE banner. : )

Good Morning Mimi Sue,
Thanks for visiting my blog today and for your sweet comment on my Valentine cards. I created the little white heart lace with the new Martha Stewart heart border punch. Her punches are wonderful. If you have never used one give them a try ---you will love them.
Have a Wonderful Day
Mimi~
Oh by the way I love your new patio furniture---All we need now is some warm weather so you can use them :)

I wasn't glued to the TV, but I did say several prayers for him and our country and the folks who felt it was necessary to boo some of our former presidents and their wives.

I do want to tell you what a great photo and sentiment you shared!! There should be a Wordless Wednesday Category for that!!

I watched all day. I kept telling myself--go back to the studio and iron while you watch. I love your play on words with the photo.

I was sick, and bugged that the parade was so. stinking. long. and blocking out other shows since I *had* to watch tv all day.

Yeah--I read about the pinking blade on some other blog and instantly decided I needed it. My sister gave it to be for Christmas. She lives in Pennsylavania, so surely they have it here in Craftsville of Craftah--even though I haven't perconally looked. Sewing stores scare me. Unless their fabric is so cute it lures me in and then seduces me to buy it.
