Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Flying South for the Winter

Last week I took a little break from the cold and snow and flew south for a little warm and sunshine. I also got to see these cute girls. It just so happened, while I was in warm and sunny California, that this was the weekend for La Maison Rustique. A fun and beautiful barn sale in Temecula.
They had a large outdoor area with all things garden....

Fun handmade and vintage items...

Linens and fabric in the upstairs of the barn...

Beautiful embellished bottles...
Shabby Chic, pink tulle, painted furniture, chandeliers, and last but not least, Christy Repassy paintings.

Here she is, holding the two that I was fortunate enough to purchase. Isn't she cute? And the very nicest person ever. I love those two little paintings so much! If I wasn't already married, I'd marry them.

You've been going to tons of fun places lately. Lucky. Your daughter and grandbabies are so pretty. And they get to live somewhere warm all year. Lucky.

Temecula is such a neat town. I haven't been there for years and it's probably grown, but still beautiful. I love that house in the background in your 3rd picture.
Your daughter and granddaughters are sure pretty.
I would of loved to be at that sale...my kind of "stuff".. I love the Christy Repassy paintings too.
That's pretty neat that you got to meet her.
I am going to Las Vegas in about a week to warm up. Need a break from winter.

I'm so glad that you are off having fun and enjoying yourself. Flip flops never sounded so good. I could never hate you my Sue Sue, but that doesn't mean I can't be extremely jelous- which I am. Bring some sunshine and warm weather home with you please!!!!!
