Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. River Rock

Well, the weather is finally cooperating and we've had a few days of dry weather.
The temperature is still a little cool but perfect for moving rocks and mulching flower beds.
So we did.

The river rocks in front of  the fence and the mulch should really cut down on the weeding this summer.  Hopefully we'll have a few more days of spring before we settle in to the heat of summer.

Great idea with the river rocks, they look so nice against the fence.

Enjoy the weather, Mimi!

Isn't that about right, a few more days until sweltering? Last year, I recall it was frigid on the 4th of July, and turned inferno on the 5th. Good thing we have houses like yours to make us like living in Utah. :)

Isn't it nice to have some sunshine? Now, I just need a good weekend with no place to go!

I love the river rocks. When I lived in Utah, we had a big back yard and I ended up doing a lot of "rock areas" to cut down on the weeding (since I was working full time)
I like the mixture.

The white picket fence is a perfect accessory for a home.
