Mimi Sue's Cottage

A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth. Oh, Canada

The first stop we made on our wonderful cruise was Victoria, BC. We got off the ship and went directly to Butchart Gardens. GORGEOUS!

We were lucky enough to be their when the tulips were blooming. In June the roses will be at their peak.

Camelias...

It was just a little rainy, really a light mist.

They employ 650 gardeners in the summer. They planted the tops of the trash cans...

The next day, Vancouver...

An angel taking a railroad worker to heaven...

Cute shops in the Gastown district...

A steam operated clock. This fascinated the mister...

The canadians are very kind to their four legged friends...

We had a wonderful time with our friends. Now back to working on the house.

That's the first pet fountain I've ever seen; I love it! Thanks for the fantastic tour, I could just fall into those ferns and never come out.

What an amazing vacation. I was very touch with the angle lifting the railroad worker to heaven. That is a very powerful, probebly daily, occurance in that busy city.

Why didn't you call me to go with you!!!!!! I would have loved carrying an umbrella in the light rain surrounded by those magnificent flower gardens. What a neat place to visit, and so happy for you.
