A home is much more than a house built of lumber, brick, or stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. We are responsible for the homes we build. We must build wisely, for eternity is not a short voyage. There will be calm and wind, sunlight and shadows, joy and sorrow. But if we really try, our home can be a bit of heaven here on earth.Thomas S Monson

Sunday Sayings
"If we had no winter the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." Anne Bradstreet
so true--i have to keep reminding myself of this. my firend who lives in st george told me once that she thought she didn't appreciate spring as much as she did when she lived up here.
Yes it's true....but why does winter have to be sooooooo looooooong here in New England lol. I PROMISE to appreciate the spring...but can we cut a few months out of winter and make the spring longer to appreciate!!
i HOPE we're not being too puchy--i only left one little comment. today we walked past tiffani's house and i got a better look at that bird. i guess they made it out of regular old solid-colored fabric and stuffed it. now i have to try to be sneaky to drive by and get a picture of it. wish i had a zoom lens.
That is a lovely verse! Isn't it wonderful that the weather is finally beginning to feel like spring! I really liked your beautiful centerpiece for Enrichment night. Everything always looks that much better on a silver tray. Gorgeous!

ha ha--that's a good plan. does her name end with a y or i? i saw it both ways, but don't know and will feel idiotic if i'm constantly misspelling it.
Hi Mimi Sue,
How true!!! Thanks for reminding us!!! Blessings,
Sue
I often tell my children "We must have a few bad days in order to appreciate the good." This goes along the same smart lines.
A great saying!
